Lo we are not so, we’re on a Mission

weonamission

This is the real life story of how I used to get my brother to bring me things. I don’t know if any more explanation is needed other than that.

I would usually give him a report card in regards to his service and give him tips and pointers for the next mission.

Come to think of it, I used to tell my brother a lot of things and he used to kick me in the face a lot. I’m thinking about it now and I feel like I have material for the next 5 years worth of Must Be This Tall comic’s based off our interactions. Good stuff.

Hope y’all enjoy. Sorry, Mark. Kinda. But it was fun, right?

I Can Sleep

icansleep1

First off, sorry for the late post. It was a very hectic weekend, not much sleep was had. Hence, this week’s comic.

I don’t know if this is a problem that everyone can relate to, but for me, this is one of the most problematic situations when I’m sleeping. I feel like whenever I look at the clock, it’s usually only minutes before I have to wake up. And If I don’t look, well I’m sitting up for awhile just waiting for my alarm to go off.

Only once, every so often, does the final panel happen, where you look at the time and are surprised to see you have trilla more hours of sleep. It’s one of the best feelings in the world.

Anyway, that’s it from me. Hope you guys enjoys this week’s comic.

See ya next time, space cowboys

Boris the Spider in: Who are you?

whoareyou

A few weeks ago, I was standing in my kitchen. I had the door open, because it was so hot and I didn’t feel like turning on the air. While I was standing there, I noticed a giant bug just flapping around, above me. There was no way that I was going to be able to capture and remove that thing from my house, so I just continued on with my life.

That instant brought to mind this question: What do you do when there is a bug in your house? I decided to save the thought and make it a comic eventually. And eventually has arrived.

It’s also topical because I spent a good amount of time trying to rescue a tree frog that had stowed away into my car. I got him out after it was in my car all day. It only took me crawling around in my work clothes, in the rain, but it was worth it.

So, after all that background, which character are you?

Hope you guys dig it. Talk to you later.

Bouncing Around the Room

bouncing around

Has this every happened to you?! The gang is in the backyard just enjoying a nice spring afternoon when, snap!  This is the exact recreation of what happened to me when I was younger. My dad was pushing me on a tire swing, when the wood plank that was keeping the tire anchored to the swing-set snapped. I then preceded to roll down the hill. It was terrifying and exciting.

For me, this is one of those comics, where I am really happy with how everything turned out. I had a few different ideas on how I was going to frame this, one being Climber bouncing through the usual three panels, but I think this works the best.

I had also thought of adding some word bubbles, but I like when the drawing speaks for itself. It doesn’t always work out, but I think in this case it would have just been too much with the words.

Even though it’s only one frame, it took me just as long to put it together, as some of the three panel strips have. I took a little more time with the shadows, details and effects, that I don’t always have the ability to do with three different panels. I like having the time to focus on a drawing.

I dig this one. Hope you guys do too.

I Wanna Live a Life Like That

grandparents

So I was gonna do this comic last week. My grandparents stopped by at my new place, on their way home from Florida. It was basically two days of being completely spoiled.

Growing up, my grandparents were always a big part of my life. I would, and still do, get excited when I got to see them. They were always there giving me things, I didn’t need or deserve, but also they were there to help me out if I needed anything.

This comic may be silly and point out how spoiled I am, but I hope it can also be viewed as a big thank you to my grandparents and all of my family for being such a big part of my life.

Lame enough for you? Sorry, I’ll make next week’s ‘about’ way more manly.

Shootin’ Hoops

shootinghoops

So Louisville did it. I think this is the most I’ve been into basketball for a long time. I feel like March Madness is one of those times when a lot of people will jump on the bandwagon. I definitely was one.

The comic this week was another spur of the moment idea-ones. I’ll have something set up in my mind all day and then I realize that some major event is going on that I could comment on. That is what happened with this week’s comic.

It’s 2am and I wanna go to bed. Hope everyone enjoys. Goodnight.

He Knows that They’re the Fools

aprilfools

Hey, everyone! Did I make it in time for this comic to still be relevant? I was originally planning on doing a comic about Easter leftovers. I was working it out in my head, all weekend and had it all planned out. Then I realized that today was April fools day. So I had to change the plans a little.

The comic that made it to the website wasn’t even the original April Fool’s day comic that I had planned, (this is like draft 3) but I like the way it works out more.

I feel like April Fool’s day is the only day where you’re allowed to destroy people’s dreams and hopes as long as you follow up that crushing of their lives, with the words “April Fool’s Day”. As a kid, April Fool’s day seemed to be more acceptable. Maybe you’re just used to people lying to you more as a child or maybe adults just take everything too seriously.

Whatever the case may be, here is this week’s comic. Happy April Second, everyone.
